FAQ: Where do I download the release forms? Do I have to submit them now?

The releases are found in the asset tray on each assignment’s landing page in a downloadable .zip file.

No, you don’t have to submit them now. You will need to have them signed and ready if and when your video is chosen for distribution. So, it’s up to you whether you print and fill them out now, during filming, or after you’ve uploaded your video. It’s always a wise move to have a stockpile of release forms around whenever you shoot. Going back and tracking down people is much harder than just having them signed and ready upfront.

To get the releases to us, the best way is to sign them, scan them in and email a .PDF version to us. If you don’t have a scanner, you can always fax them to: (610) 832-1166. Or, as a last resort, you can mail them to our offices.

do i have to provide location release forms for locations that are unrecognizable?

  2. Mark Schoneveld Says:

Yes, because you need to have permission to shoot the location if it’s private property.

  3. Teresa Weitz Says:

I’m very confused about the location release- if it is a public property do I need one? If it is my own house do I need one? This is very unclear, and would this disqualify me from the Bud Light spot if I haven’t yet submitted these forms?

  4. Mark Schoneveld Says:

Teresa - if it’s your own house, you can sign the release yourself. :) Public property doesn’t need a release. Don’t worry, you won’t be disqualified.
