Oh yeah, baby! New assignment time! Harold and Kumar are going on another adventure! This time, they get thrown into Guantanemo prison, only to escape and try to make it back home. Check out the trailer:
We’re going to try something a little different with this assignment. There are lots of different ways you can make the vids - 5 different styles to choose from - and a new, experimental payment structure.
New Line Cinema will select 10 videos and pay their creators $1,500 per video. New Line Cinema will also give each selected creator a set of 3 DVD Movie releases.
Since we would like loads of people to see the selected videos, we will also:
- Pay the creators of the top 10 videos $10 for every site that the creative gets posted to by April 14th, 2008, up to 35 ($350 per creator)
- Award three extra prizes for the creators who generate the highest amount of views by April 30th, 2008:
- $2,500 for the video receiving the greatest amount of views
- $1,500 second place
- $1,000 third place
So get to it! There are a lot of cool assets to download, and a bunch of different ways you could make a video. Be sure to read the Creative Brief carefully! The deadline is only a few weeks away! You have until April 13th before the chosen videos are off to the viral races!

The assignment looks cool, but when I pulled down the fonts zip file, all that’s there are the Mac Fonts. Is it possible the file’s been corrupted ’cause it’d be really helpful to have the PC Fonts? Thanks!

Sorry, Matt! You’re right. Those are Mac-only fonts. Though similar fonts may be available around the Internet. If we get PC-compatible ones, we will be sure to let everyone know.

Hey Matt Morgan and to other cats out there. I’m on a PC, but there are free programs that let you convert fonts from Mac->Pc or vice versa. I believe I used a program Cross Font, but there are others that are Freeware/Shareware that will work in a pinch.
