I have to admit - I'm still not clear on what to do. I know it's not rocket science. - I'm not the most communicative or squeaky wheel type. :)

I just emailed the releases to you guys just to be safe - but who knows? Maybe my videos aren't even in the running so it doesn't matter? Would they contact you if A-B liked your video but you forgot to send in the releases because you didn't know and you went traveling or working?

I think all the creators here need a small forum where we can support each other and talk about the contests and fill each other in on minute details and gripe and moan and cheer and laugh either on xlntads.com or maybe even off it.

Win or lose - it was a lot of fun for me and I suspect a lot of people still have a great piece of work they would have never been motivated to do if it wasn't for Xlntads team who seem very grateful for the symbiotic relationship they are cultivating with the creators and they seem concerned to maintain it.

Important details, like sending in the release forms and putting copyright text on the videos really need to be made more obvious to the participants of the contest. We all put a lot of work into these videos, and for us to find out about these things from a blog entry is a bit frustrating. If important facts like this are omitted in the creative brief and agreements, then they should be posted on either the front page of the site, or at least on the assignment page. And why not also email those details straight to the submitters? I'm sure there's still dozens of people who don't know about sending in the release forms. I hope that these things don't have any bearing on the contest, it would be horrible to be disqualified because the submission rules changed and you weren't notified.

Thank you for the understanding on the SSN number, my actors were so hesitant, that I almost lost them. It's just the climate of the times, protect your identity.

As for ratings, I would love to see people rate their true feelings on the videos, but the truth is on this assignment ratings have no bearing. Don't sweat it, folks.

Hi everyone. It's true, you are NOT required to put your SSN on the releases. I'm not sure why they included that line item, but don't worry, it's smart not to put it on. I'll bring this up internally and see if we can get that changed.

Why should it be extended??? One month was plenty of time -- a deadline should be that. A deadline.

I think it's so sad how people feel the need to give lower ratings on good videos so that they feel better about their own. I mean seriously... look at the two current Bud Light spots. They were brutally attacked this weekend. Seriously pathetic what "competition" does to some people.
