I've participated in two 48 hour film projects thus far, having won multiple awards and one national film challenge. You should think about potentially taking a trip to the NM 48 hour film project July 11th. Some mild reasoning would be that in 2007, a NM film took first place in all of the US films combined, third in the world next to Israel and Rome, and for National Film Challenge in 2007, a NM film took #1 in the world in the competition. Not only is the film industry booming here but that goes for indie film as well and theres a lot of talent to showcase Hey guys, thats amazing news.
