• Poptent is Live!

    October 8th, 2008

We’re very, very excited to announce the public beta launch of our new community site, Poptent!

We’ve all worked incredibly hard on this project and we couldn’t be happier to have this baby out in the open for eveyone to check out. Please feel free to poke around and give us feedback.

We built Poptent based on the lessons we’ve learned over the past year from XLNTads, and feedback from creators like you. Stellar new features, full networking capabilities and a beautiful new HD-capable video player will provide all the tools you need to manage projects, build your portfolio and get your work seen.

Be sure to check out all our New Assignments!

    • Anheuser-Busch resigned with us and created three new campaigns for you to work on, including one called ‘Nattyisms’ for their Natural Light brand beer. (Launching Soon!)
    • Brand Affinity Technologies has signed on for three great projects promoting their professional athletes like Bengals star quarterback Carson Palmer and baseball legend Brooks Robinson to be used in commercials. (Live Now!)
    • And last, but not least, Poptent is going to pay you to upload your Demo Reel! Well, not all of you, but our panel of expert judges will be giving $500 to the best one in the Reel of the Month assignment. (Live Now!)

    Hey Mark,
Jared here. I received your shotgun email. You got my attention. I am wondering if you could share with me the changes you made at poptent that have improved on the flaws of xlntads.
    1. Primarily I hope a provision was made for the creators to communicate with each other on the site.
    2. Are there strict guidelines regarding assignments/submissions and the content directives?
You know where I stand on this Mark. I can neither create or refer a peer to a contest site where specific directives are given and then subsequently ignored by the contest administrators.

    3. I am curious to see if you have the insight to post this response on your blog (unedited). It would suggest a ‘real’ shift int the way you and Neil conduct business. If it is edited or unpublished altogether, than I will know it is business as usual there in Pa.

How different is poptent than xlntads?

    Jared

Very big of poptent to post my ‘less than glorifying’ blog entry form Oct 9th.
I hope for big things for PopTent.
    Jared
