I’m proud to say, the Poptent community has hit yet another grand slam! The folks in the marketing department at Out Pets, maker of the excellent Flappy Dog Toys, were blown away by how great all your videos came out for their Flappy Commercial Assignment. Instead of just 3 videos, they went for 4 commercials for $2000 each. They told us they wanted to buy 20 if they could afford to! Great work, everyone!
Every month we sort through the many fantastic demo reels uploaded to the Poptent network and pick out our favorites. We hope that every member of Poptent works on developing their professional and artistic appeal by compiling a well-done demo of their work. Have you uploaded your demo reel yet? You’ve released your collective inner diablos on the Callaway assignment on Poptent, but now you’d like to know - who the heck wins the clubs? Out of the ten finalists, one has already been bought by Callaway and the following videos are being awarded for their excellence in craft, message and creativity. Good job, all!

With nearly 100 excellent submissions, (two of which have been purchased by Stouffer’s already!) picking the award winners for the Stromboli and Flatbread Melts Assignment on Poptent wasn’t nearly as easy as whipping up a Corner Bistro meal in the oven! We sweat over these like cookin’ over a hot stove. But in the end, a few commercials simmered to the top.

We’re excited to announce that Callaway has selected to purchase a video from the Poptent creative community and the commercial video assignment they ran earlier this year. They really loved the work of Volition Studios’Justin Spence and not only paid him $5000 for his effort, but also commissioned him to create additional work!
Remarkably, Justin made his excellent first draft of the video without having one of the Diablo drivers to use as a prop. For the reshoot, Callaway sent him an entire bag of clubs (lucky guy!) and had him redo the scenes at the driving range. Here’s the video, recut:
